At Pee Dee Mental Health Center our staff is committed to providing mental health services to adults, children, and families of Florence, Darlington, and Marion Counties. We strive to provide high quality, comprehensive mental health services efficiently, effectively and safely to all those we serve.
We provide a wide array of intensive mental health services to all individuals with acute symptoms of mental illness, substance abuse (dual diagnosis) and/ or emotional distress.
These services can be provided over the telephone or face to face. The emphasis is to restore the client to the highest possible functional state in the least restrictive environment so that they can remain in the community with appropriate supportive services.
These services are available to all age groups, twenty-four (24) hours a day seven (7) days a week, both on and off center premises as circumstances dictates.

Pee Dee Mental Heath Center is an outpatient facility of the BHDD Office of Mental Health. Medical services are provided by Doctors, Nurse Practitioners, Nurses, and Licensed Clinicians, and administrative staff who support them.

The Mobile Call Center provide after-hour emergency contact twenty-four (24) hours a day, seven (7) days a week, and will respond to calls immediately. The contact number is toll-free 1-833-364-2274.
Pee Dee Mental Health Center is an NHSC-approved site where primary care physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and mental health professionals who are eligible for loan repayment funding or have received scholarships can fulfill their service obligation.

As A National Health Service Corps site, we promise to serve all patients, offer discounted fees for patients who qualify, and not deny services based on a person’s race, color, sex, national origin, age, disability, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity or ability to pay. The Center accepts several insurances, including Medicaid, Medicare and SC Healthy Connections for Children. No one will be denied access to services due to inability to pay; and there is a discounted/sliding fee schedule available based on family size and income.
