BHDD Office of Mental Health provides psychiatric treatment for residents of South Carolina experiencing mental illness. BHDD Office of Mental Health provides  children, adolescents, adults, and families necessary inpatient and outpatient services which may include: emergency psychiatric services, assessments, case management, outpatient counseling, and other psychiatric treatment. BHDD Office of Mental Health offers a wide variety of mental health treatment services for a broad range of problem areas, which include:
  • Alcohol and other drug addictions
  • Anxiety
  • Attention Deficit Disorder (Complicated with Significant Behavioral Problems)
  • Behavioral Problems
  • Bipolar Disorder
  • Co-occurring Disorders
  • Depression
  • Oppositional Defiant Disorder (ODD)
  • Suicide Risk
  • Thought Disorders (e.g., Schizophrenia, Schizoaffective)
  • Trauma
Priority is given to those with serious and persistent mental illness.
