BHDD Office of Mental Health Mobile Crisis clinicians provide 24/7/365 day community-based crisis response anywhere in South Carolina. Our goal is to provide patients throughout the state with immediate access to crisis services and the most appropriate level of care.
Our experienced and highly trained masters level clinicians work directly with local mental health centers, law enforcement, emergency service centers, and community providers to help address the crisis situation and to stabilize
individuals who may be experiencing a mental health crisis.
Individuals, organizations, and the community at large may call our mobile crisis hotline at any time day or night. A trained clinician will triage the call, assess the situation, and deploy a clinical team to the location of the crisis. At that time the mobile crisis team will work with law enforcement and others to fully assess the situation and to provide mental health interventions and recommendations. Mobile crisis team members often meet with the individuals in crisis on site to determine the most appropriate course of action. Once information has been gathered and the situation has de-escalated, the team will utilize its considerable resources and partnerships to put treatment options into place.
