Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital (HPH)

Patrick B. Harris Psychiatric Hospital (HPH) is an acute care psychiatric inpatient facility located in Anderson, South Carolina.  It is the only public psychiatric inpatient facility located in the Upstate and serves 13 counties providing short-term, intensive psychiatric diagnostic and treatment services on an involuntary, inpatient, basis.

TREATMENT PROGRAMS

Patients are treated by qualified physicians, psychiatrists, nursing staff, social workers, counselors, activity therapy staff and transition team specialists who work in treatment teams to provide the care that each patient needs from the point of admission through the patient discharge process to set each patient up for success when they are discharged from the facility. 

 

The facility provides most medical and all psychological treatments, therapy, meals, haircuts, laundry, and reactional activities in-house. The facility has community areas, a gymnasium, a swimming pool, a chapel, and a library on site, which provide for various opportunities for its patients.
